I love the goose/swan. Is it a goose or a swan? I know it's a bird that floats. Zephyrhills, being Florida, I would have expected a flamingo.
It's funny and sad all at the same time, the best art always is. You Trip-M, my blogosphere friend, are a very talented artist. You write without words.
Conjuring up images, shades of AFLAC commercials bringing a smile to my face and yet....
You are so correct about the combination of humor and aching sadness.
This photo was taken several days before my father passed away. He was there, telling corny jokes and making us laugh right up until we said goodbye. He loved snowy egrets and all types of herons and cranes.
He was 81 years old, ready to move on and died peacefully. I can only hope that where he is now is filled will all the birds he loves.
