Okay, this has happened twice so far. Each time I come over to this blog, as it loads I see this picture, the last one posted. Each time I see the title flash before me, each time I think it reads something else. What I see, briefly, is "Frozen Sinatra" instead of "Frozen Strata". I really need to wear my glasses..

Cool shot. It's like the snow is hanging on, doesn't want to face the inevitable.

Yum..... "Bartender- I'll have a Frozen Sinatra please! Sounds like it should probably be blue and served in a martini glass.

I never "blogged before",lol, this is cool! Are you really from Au Train? Can't wait to hear more! Not many people know of or where Au Train is...but I certainly do :)

Trying to figure out where you took this photo. Not the "face in the rock", but somewhere nearby?

You have my curiosity going. I'll just have to print out this pic and play trivia with my kids. I've never been in Au Train in winter, but they have. I thought about printed it out and searching this summer, but things look different in the summer vs. winter.
Anyway, great shot of ???

Welcome Anonymous! This photo was taken near where the Au Train river empties out into Lake Superior. The lake was at my back and the river about a 100 feet to my right. We were on our way to the Brownstone Inn for dinner. :-)

I grew up in Munising but have lived in MA for over 25 years.

"A Frozen Sinatra". I like the sound of that.

Thanks! Now I have an idea where it is. And I know the Brownstone Inn very well :)

I'm keeping this photo's identity a secret from my sons now...I want them to tell me where it is:) They think they know everything :).

I will print out this picture and take it up north with me this summer. I'll really get them and all their friends going.

Just want to say that I viewed your other photo's. You are a gifted photographer, to say the least!

If you are there in summer first two weeks of August...you will find me combing the beach at the boat basin...don't tell anyone:) I collect stones and small rocks. Also, there are some other spots I enjoy, just sitting and watching the wonderful Lake Superior. I'm sure you know where they are.
